Stacking and Packing The end of the line?
We have produced numerous systems for stacking and stocking parts, as well as box filling and layer card inserting.
In applications where cycle times are not critically fast, our de-moulding robots are quite capable of packing boxes and inserting layer cards. However, where cycle times are more critical, the solutions for stacking and packing are various: Use a double wing robot; use two servo traverse robots; use a modified sprue picker with a servo traverse robot; or use a servo traverse robot in concert with an industrial robot.
For stacking and stocking parts, we can specify conveyor belts to transfer parts between different areas. Parts are first stacked and then moved onto the conveyor with actuators. At the unloading end of the conveyor, the parts are pushed off onto a stocking table where, after sufficient parts have built up, operators then package them. With a high speed robot, cycle times as low as four seconds can be realised and the stocking system can be built to run in time with this cycle.
Below are various applications using different equipment to box fill and stock parts.
